Week # 1 - Take 2

As mentionned yesterday, we drove to Montréal today (actually, half-way to Montréal to meet a friend and then drove back home). The weather was perfect, -3 degrees Celcius and mostly sunny.

We didn't see any wildlife but we did stop at a very nice place called "Roland's Falls" in the LaVérendry Provincial Park. My wife and I took many pictures. I'm posting 3 of them that fits pretty good with Sepia tones.

I'm holding on to a few of them that I might use in the first Free Study Challenge of the year on DPC.

Tomorrow, it's back to work... :( so I won't have time to take many pictures until next weekend. I get at work when it's still dark and I get out of there only after the sun is gone. This is mainly why I didn't go for the PAD project, not enough time and opportunities during the week.

Take 3 and 4 are below.

Week # 1 - Take 3

Week # 1 - Take 4

Sepia?

In a comment on my first picture, Jojo asked me if I changed my mind about going Sepia. I didn't, I just forgot to mention that my pictures will have an overall sepia tone to them, they will not neccessary be converted to pure sepia.

Week # 1

I could not wait and decided to go and shot some pictures right away. The weather was miserable, we had frezing rain this morning, followed by rain and now it's changing to snow.

As you can see, lighting wasn't cooperative and I didn't bring my tripod. This is the best I could get. It's a close-up picture of some pine needles with water dropplets on them.

Anyway, I'm reserving the right to post more than one picture per week. Tomorrow I'll be driving to Montréal and they are forecasting sunshine. I will probably have some better opportunities.

A Theme?

OK, now I have to find a theme.

This is not very hard for me as I just love taking nature's photo, but to give it a small twist I will post only pictures of nature in Sepia tones as I love this color (and B&W as well)

Stay tune, the first picture will be up before the end of the week.

2007 Photo a Week

Here I go, entering the DPC 2007 PAW. I already tried doing a PAD and I know that I can't do it... as I don't always have the time. But doing a Picture a Week project should be OK.

I'll post my first picture soon.
