Week # 4.... Back

Sorry, but I had to remove my picture for week # 4

Even if the picture that I decided to enter in the January Free Study is completly different, there was still a possibility that someone could identify me in the Challenge.

Picture for Week # 4 will be back after voting in the Free Study is over.

Week # 4

As I mentionned last week, we had some very cold weather here. It was not the best to go out and shot for that Wildlife Challenge... :)

But at least I found some great places like this one where all the trees were covered with frost.

For the next two week I might not be able to post and upload some picture because I will be away for a course in British-Colombia, but even if they are late I will shot and post the weekly pic when I get back. I even took a full week off, on top of the course to go around and take many pictures.

And.., the weather will surely be better than here.. :)

Week # 3

Winter is finally here, we did get our first significant snow fall this past week. Those cattails won't last very long now, so here's another picture of them before they get burried under the snow.

With the snow came the cold air also. For the next few days the temperature is suppose to get as low as -35º C (-31º F). Hopefully it will be milder next weekend so I can go out and take more pictures.

Week # 2

The winter over here has been very mild so far. For the first time ever (since they keep stats) we had a green Christmas.

It's been so mild and without snow that many cattails are still around. Here's one.

Week # 1 - Take 2

As mentionned yesterday, we drove to Montréal today (actually, half-way to Montréal to meet a friend and then drove back home). The weather was perfect, -3 degrees Celcius and mostly sunny.

We didn't see any wildlife but we did stop at a very nice place called "Roland's Falls" in the LaVérendry Provincial Park. My wife and I took many pictures. I'm posting 3 of them that fits pretty good with Sepia tones.

I'm holding on to a few of them that I might use in the first Free Study Challenge of the year on DPC.

Tomorrow, it's back to work... :( so I won't have time to take many pictures until next weekend. I get at work when it's still dark and I get out of there only after the sun is gone. This is mainly why I didn't go for the PAD project, not enough time and opportunities during the week.
